C4DM was host to the second edition of the Workshop on Intelligent Music Production, one year after the Digital Media Technology (DMT) Lab at Birmingham City University brought it into existence. The event consisted of 2 keynotes, 8 paper presentations, 22 more poster presentations, and a panel session, and took place at Queen Mary's Charterhouse Square campus.
Keynote 1
The first keynote was delivered by Bryan Pardo from Northwestern University, who with his Interactive Audio Lab has significantly shaped the field of intelligent music production.

The afternoon was delivered by François Pachet from Sony Computer Science Laboratories in Paris, France. Having authored several important publications on techniques for automatic music production and composition, his presentation featured several jaw-dropping demonstrations of machine-made music.
